Remodel Celebrated With Open House

On September 3rd, Olympia Master Builders (OMB) members and invited elected officials and guests gathered to celebrate the completion of OMB's office remodel.

"I'm impressed," commented OMB President Karen McClennen, "about the transformation of the office work area and the efficient use of space.  Stuart Drebick and his crew did a great job."

OMB Board member Stuart Drebick of Adroit Contractors Inc. volunteered his time as general contractor and several OMB members generously donated or gave reduced pricing for their products and services.

The OMB staff continued to work through the summer months as the remodel was taking place around them.  "When we started the remodel, I expected to deal with complaints from OMB staff and members about the inconvenience of the remodel, the dust, the noise, etc.  Stuart and his crew had such a great customer service attitude, that I did not receive one complaint.  That totally amazed me," noted OMB Executive Officer, Laura Kimbrough.

The office remodel involved rearranging the reception area to incorporate a small conference room.  The large conference room was moved from upstairs to downstairs and enlarged to provide for a room divider to give more flexibility to the use of the space.  Three work areas that were downstairs were moved upstairs and three additional work areas were created upstairs.

"I continue to be impressed with the generosity of OMB members with both their time and their services to the association and this remodel was just another example of that fact," commented Kimbrough.
