Celebrating National Membership Day

The Membership Committee, along with sponsors Gray Lumber and Milgard Windows, will be hosting a barbeque at Olympia Master Builders (OMB) on Tuesday, May 20 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in celebration of National Membership Day.  This safari themed event will be filled with fun.  This is the association's opportunity to thank members for their participation throughout the year and show prospective members the value OMB places on membership!

Also, as part of National Membership Day, the Olympia Master Builders Chapters are involved in a BIG contest.  The Chapter with the greatest percentage of growth will be declared the winner.  The prize will be big and their pride will be bigger!     
Since National Membership Day is just that, a national event, on May 20 OMB will be sending in the recruitment numbers for the month of May to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  By sending in the recruitment numbers OMB is competing with other local associations from around the country.  For those of you who don't know, we turn in our recruitment numbers to NAHB on a monthly basis.  NAHB is only as strong as the local associations so they help OMB work on member recruiting and retention through drives such as National Membership Day.

NAHB also keeps track of Spike Credits for local associations such as OMB.  During the month of May recruiters will receive double Spike credits and prizes.  (please see box on this page to learn more about Spikes). 

I am calling upon each of you; come participate in National Membership Day and bring a potential new member.  Let's take this opportunity to build our membership and strengthen OMB!  Of course, true to form, there will be prizes for those of you who bring a potential new member and a chance to win a Cabela's gift certificate. 

NAHB is awarding prizes for Recruitment in May:
* Recruit one new member and receive an 8-function tool with LED light.

* Recruit two new members and receive a Captain's Nylon Folding Chair with arms.

* Recruit three new members and receive a Zippered Fleece Jacket (Men's or Ladies').
