Rossi Draws Crowd to March GMM

The 2008 Republican Candidate for Governor of Washington State, Dino Rossi, was the speaker for the March General Membership Dinner meeting. The crowd of nearly 200 members and guests were eager to hear what Mr. Rossi had to say.

OMB President Karen McClennen commented, "once again it is an honor to have Dino Rossi join us here tonight. He is a true friend of small business."

In his presentation, Rossi noted small businesses with fewer than 50 employees account for 49 percent of Washington's non-government workforce. Alarmingly, Washington has one of the highest small business failure rates in the nation.

Rossi said "Too many small businesses are failing in our state and as your governor I will make our business climate more inviting to entrepreneurs." He also stressed the need for a safe environment in which to live. "I believe you should feel safe in your community, and our state must drastically improve the way it protects people."
