OMB Annual Events

22nd Annual Auction: "Tailgate Party!"

The Olympia Master Builders' (OMB) 22nd Annual Auction is happening on Friday, June 6 at the Red Lion Hotel in Olympia.

According to Auction Chair, Jamie Lehew of Anchor Bank, "This year's theme is 'Tailgate Party!  Scoring Points for Affordable Housing', all OMB members are encouraged to come out wearing their favorite NFL team gear." 

In keeping with the theme, expect to see Astroturf and goal posts.  The Auction will be separated into four quarters, and there may even be a half-time show!  "We've secured a couple of Seattle Seahawk SeaGals to pose with guests for pictures at the Anchor Bank photo booth," added Lehew. 

Thank you to our returning event sponsors:  Pro-Build is Main Event Sponsor and Little Creek Casino Resort is joining us as the wine sponsor again. 

So far, the Auction Committee has procured more than $72,000 worth of items for guests to bid on. 

Some of the latest procurement highlights are:

* One spot for a child at the Marcus Trufant Football Camp from July 11 - 15 in Olympia.  Donated by Anchor Bank.

* Guided pheasant or quail hunt with two dogs:  Donated by Boggs Inspection Service.

* A wagon filled to the brim with toys, books, games and more!  Thrill that special child in your life!  Includes one-year membership to the Hands On Children's Museum.  Donated by Gemini Corporation.

Some notable items donated by non-members (for now!), include:

* Four hours of quad riding in Capital Forest for two people.  Picnic lunch and quads provided!  Donated by Counterfitters of Washington.

* Five 30-minute personal training sessions and personalized meal plans.  Donated by Nic Younis of the Fit Stop.

Special thanks to the members of the Auction Committee for procuring these and so many other terrific items.  In addition to Lehew, the committee includes:  Jackie Ashley of FASTSIGNS and Hydro Physics, Nikki Box of Anchor Bank, Erich Brown of Excellence Mortgage, Denice Gill of Gray Lumber, Karen McClennen of The Olympian, Linda Mosier-Vaudt of Pro-Build, Tenile Murphy of WindStar Development, Helena Rice of Gemini Corporation, Gary Skinner of The Williams Group, and Wes Taylor of Gray Lumber.
