On July 24, over 100 people teed off for the 29th Annual Nicholson Cup Golf Tournament held at The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie.  [more]

On the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August, the 2008 Tour of Homes(tm) was held here in Thurston County. This year's Olympia Tour featured 12 sites, including one remodel project.  [more]

Remodeling Excellence Award Winners Recognized at the May GMM

The Remodeling Excellence (REX) Awards dinner banquet was on Wednesday, May 14 at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club.  The REX Awards honor innovative and exceptional projects done by remodeler members of Olympia Master Builders (OMB).  There were twelve entries received representing ten categories.  There were ten awards presented.

Thank you to the Judges who made the tough decisions on who would win each award. Troy Rideb of By Renewal, Gary Howe of Gary Howe Construction, Gorden Neu of Neu Construction, Inc. and Tom Reier of Reier Construction.

Thank you to Geoff Morse with Waddell and Reed Financial Advisors for being the emcee for the program.  Geoff's presentation included an overview of the, goals to be achieved along with before and after photos of each project receiving an award.  Geoff is pictured to the right in each photo below presenting each award.
