OMB Annual EventsROII Checks Handed Out at Annual BBQ in JulyOMB Staff Writer Olympia Master Builders' (OMB) members gathered at Burfoot Park on July 22 for the Sixth Annual Association-wide barbeque and Return on Industrial Insurance (ROII) check refund distribution. "Each July, this event takes the place of the monthly general membership meeting and is meant to bring members and their families together for an ole' fashioned barbeque," according to OMB President, Karen McClennen. Over $2 Million Dollars in Return on Industrial Insurance (ROII) refunds were handed out to participating members of the program. This money represented refunds on premiums paid to the Washington State Labor and Industries (L&I) to ensure employees. The ROII program is administered through the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW), the statewide home builders association that is affiliated with OMB. Over the 25 years that the program has been in existence, it has returned to OMB members, on average, about 25% of the workers compensation premiums that the OMB member has paid into L&I.
